Why socks?

First, because they are a necessity. Just like underwear, socks aren't going out of style. That helps in creating a successful business.

Second, even though fashion keeps on changing socks is one item that hasn't changed much. Men still walk around wearing the same socks our ancestors used to wear.  

Lastly, gone are the days when everyone wore the same stuff to fit in. Men are not afraid of expressing their personality by adding some colour to their attire. 

Times have changed, so should socks!

Our Motivation & Beliefs

I did not set out to change the world. But early in life I learnt that one can do good by being good to others. While growing up, I observed my grandfather carry his entire family, relatives, friends, strangers and the less fortunate with his good deeds and positivity. He was truly successful due to the number of lives he was able to touch and improve.

When we think of donations, socks isn't something that is on top of our list. No wonder that socks is the second most requested item after mattress by kids at local shelter homes. 

Zero Gravity is a youth volunteering organisation that currently works with eight shelter homes in Nagpur to renovate their physical environments that triggers behavioural and psychological change. We have partnered with them to donate new, fresh and clean socks so that kids can wear them to school with confidence and keep their feet warm when the weather gets cold.

We are committed to donating a pair for every pair we sell. That's the Machaaa promise. 

How it works

Machaaa.com is a membership based subscription model website where you can sign up to receive socks directly to your doorstep for 3, 6 or 12 months.

Sign up once and then forget about it. We take care of the rest.

Your unique pair of socks shows up to your address every month. No repetitions.  

As a member, you can extend or opt out of your service without any hassles.

We have designed socks inspired by MS Dhoni's Helicopter Shot as a giveaway to our supporters. These are limited edition socks that are not available anywhere else in the market. Only 500 pairs are printed. 

With the Cricket World Cup 2019 coming up these will be perfect way to cheer our men in blue.

About the Founder

My journey of standing on my own feet started with being a Youth Exchange Student for Rotary Club in 1996 when I traveled to Miami, Florida. 

After that I studied Management Information System at Florida International University & was the President of the Technology Club. I then traveled to Europe and studied at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. 

I have experience working with apparel and footwear in companies such as Reebok & Zappos. During my consulting days in US with Deloitte, I was a certified Apparel & Footwear SAP Consultant and helped companies in the industry improve their processes. 

Now back to motherland, every year I trek in the high altitude peaks of Himalayas with my mountaineering group MountainMen. Mountains were and always will be my greatest love. Check out our adventures. 

10 months ago we were blessed with a beautiful boy - Kabir.

Q) Why do I have to pay a membership fee to subscribe?

A) Good question! There are a lot of behind the scene costs like package delivery, credit card processing fee, taxes that a customer has to pay. We charge a one-time membership fee to all our members and take care of those costs ourselves over the entire period of your membership.

Q) Do I have to pay the membership fee again if I stop using you service and start again?

A) No. You only pay this fee once. 

Q) Can I send the money directly to your bank account?

Q) When will I receive my Dhoni Helicopter Shot socks?

A) By 15th July, 2019 

Q) When will I receive my socks?

A) If you have become a member of our service, your first pair will arrive at your doorstep in the first week of August 2019. Thereon, you will receive your new pair in the first week of every month. 

Q) Can I select what design I want every month?

A) No. That's a surprise, why would you want to ruin that?

Q) What are your socks made off?

A) 80% cotton, nylon, lycra and 100% swag.

Q) Are the socks that will be donated same as the ones I receive monthly?

A)  Socks that are going to kids at shelter homes are plain white socks that can be used for school or in sports. 

Q) What is the length of your socks?

 Based on the diagram below, our socks are crew size that reach mid calf.

Q) Can I get my socks in any other length?

A) At the moment, this is the only size on offer.

Licenses & Company Documentation

: We want to do a pilot project before we invest money into machinery, office space etc. This is a good litmus test.

: They should not. They should read our FAQ, ask more questions and be satisfied before parting with their hard earned money.
