Blindness and vision impairment continues to be a significant public health issue in India. One of the major causes of avoidable blindness in India is a refractive error. More than 60% of India’s population resides in villages with limited awareness about eye problems and its solution.

India is home to 50% of the world's blind population; one-third of our population needs glasses but doesn't have access to them.

Care Netram’s community services provide cost-free eye screening followed by the distribution of spectacles. These services are provided at free eye camps carried out by our Outreach teams working in villages/blocks to make vision care accessible to the poorest to poor.

School Children are an important target group for our work on site. Our goal is that no children in India have to stay away from education due to poor eyesight, which can be corrected with spectacles.

Care Netram partner with schools in the rural vicinity mostly government-sponsored schools to do eye screening and provide spectacles free of cost. 

Our team has so far conducted 80,000+ eye tests and donated 30,000+ spectacles followed by 5,000+ school students screened.

Our goal is to reach 10,000+ underprivileged by the end of 2020 to make vision care accessible. For which your generous contribution can help us in order to help them.

Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality. We are therefore raising funds so that we can provide them with FREE eye check-ups and glasses made in India from German Technology.
