What is Dance for Kindness? 

To some, the world is filled with war, hatred, violence and hopelessness but together we have the power to fill this world with kindness, trust, hope and love.

In 2012, we had a crazy idea to organize a WorldWide event in honor of World Kindness Day (November 13th), so we reached out to our fans and put our idea out there. 

What happened? 

We found 30 AMAZINGLY committed Group Leaders. With 30 locations, spanning across 15 countries and over 3,500 participants, the Life Vest Inside WorldWide Dance for Kindness was born.

Every year, as a kick off World Kindness Week, groups from across the globe unite under the banner of kindness and join together to perform a Kindness Freezmob/Flashmob to the same song, same dance, all happening on the same day.

So, what exactly is a Freezemob/Flashmob?

Music fills the streets, as participants pose in acts of kindness positions, increasing people’s awareness of what kindness looks like, and the kindness opportunities that surround them. 

Immediately after, the Flashmob song begins, and participants unfreeze and break out into dance!

What makes this years DFK different?


This year marks LVI’s 3rd Annual WorldWide Dance for Kindness! Woohoo!

So why are we super excited? 


A month ago we had a crazy idea to create our own official song for Dance for Kindness. So what did we do? We reached out to four artists and asked them to come up with an original song that embodies the purpose of DFK! What we got back was absolutely AMAZING! The next step - choosing the song!
