Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. We want every child to have access to it.

Two Cents of Hope (TCH) is a registered non-profit organization in the US and India. Our aim is to provide educational opportunities to deserving children and youth who crave to learn but cannot because of financial constraints, thus providing them with a spring board to scale new heights. Two Cents of Hope also works closely with rural educational institutions to help them provide quality education to the underserved students in rural areas of India.

Your contribution will directly help keep a student in school so he or she can get an education just like you and I did. Your small contribution goes a long way in re-writing the course of future of a student in need. Please donate and help put a student where they belong – a school. We review and closely track students based purely on merit and their financial need.

Our Fundraising Goal

We are constantly in touch with young aspiring students who want to go to school, but are unable to pay their school and exam fee. Parents of such kids come from financially backward backgrounds and are working hard to put two square meals on the table for their family. It is in the lives of such people, we want to bring in hope and light. We strive to keep such students in school and prevent them from dropping out to fend for their family.

• In 2015, Two Cents of Hope helped put 107 students in schools. We expect to at least support the same number of students for the year 2016.
• The cost of paying school and exam fees is estimated to be about $25,000 for the 107 students.
• Donors will be able to transparently track their donations reaching a specific student. Donors will also get updates on student scores and performance as they become available (mid year or end of year)
• In case we manage to exceed our goal, we will use the excess funds towards helping:
  • Dharithree – an institution for students with special needs. Two Cents of Hope supported the education of 5 kids with special needs in 2014-2015.
  • Seva Sadana School in Gubbi, Karnataka get access to basic classroom facilities and drinking water. The school currently provides free education to over 200 students in rural parts of Gubbi but is lacking basic facilities.
