SANKALP - HELP US SUPPORT A 1000 PEOPLE WITH JOBS

We are raising immediate funds to help a 1000 people get back on their feet and get a fresh start in life. An estimated 120 million people have lost their jobs and livelihoods since March this year  of which a 40 million have gone back to their villages.  Carpenters, Electricians, Construction Labour, Shopowners, Food Cart Vendors , Factory Workers these are some of the  professions most impacted by the lockdown.  With our decade long experience of working with  skill training and employment for the poor across several states and our  expertise for mobilization and counselling we are targeting beneficiaries in the states of UP, Bihar , Rajasthan and Assam to begin with.  Women will comprise 50% of this.

Our approach is mapping skill sets and experience of each of the beneficiaries and matching it with the best solution from amongst the following:

• Facilitate their hiring & selection in a company (preferably local or within the state) with fair wages

• Provide them upskilling/reskilling to make their skills more relevant and employable

• Assist them in setting up their own micro-enterprise/self-employment

Our team of counselors, Trainers, Placement Coordinators and Mentors will work with each cohort of 10-15 people and handhold them till the journey is complete.  An amount of INR 10,000 can support  1 person to start an enterprise or facilitate wage employment for 5.
