When the jawans take the oath to save our country, they leave behind their families. For the sake of our country, these jawans don’t even think about their own financial security.
They are the few who chose to serve the nation and they are the brave souls who take the accountability of our safety, but let’s now forget, that they also have people to take care of. Often, the jawans come from humble backgrounds and rural societies where they own the sole responsibility of their wives, children, old parents, and the overall household.
Did you know that more than 60,000 jawans retire daily? Because at max the jawans are allowed to serve the nation for 15-20 years. The mandate forces the jawans to retire by the age of 35-40 years.
They lose their jobs along with the other benefits of the government job in this mid-life scenario where they have their children looking up to them for education and a good livelihood.
By this time, most of the Jawans have their children enrolled in the 2nd to 4th standard, where they need finances for their primary as well as higher education. KSB provides funds for educating these students.
But the truth is, they have still pending applications from 2017 due to lack of funds.
Supporting the education of these children should be our moral responsibility, so let’s join hands and payback to those who stand up for our safety, leaving everything behind.
