MAKE AN IMPACT IN 100 REMOTE INDIAN VILLAGES AND SLUMS.
Support Menstrual Hygiene and GenderEquality efforts Save Children and Pregnant Women from Malnutrition and Eliminate Educational Ineqaulity

Our Foundation is working on various issues across India. With this campaign we are focusing on 3 main issues (Menstrual health and hygiene, Education and Malnourishment) in  100 villages and slums to make noticeable impact in people's lives.

Menstrual Health and Hygiene: "Bleed With Pride" Initiative

Every 1 out of 5 girls in India, drop out of school when their first periods start, 70% women and girls are suffering from Reproductive Tract Infections and 82 % women don't have access to sanitary napkins. Lack of Awareness and affordable option on Menstrual hygiene and protection costing education, health and dignity to our girls and women. Through this initiative we will conduct  workshops in 100 villages and slums to break taboos and spread awareness on good menstrual hygiene. Along with session we will also distribute sanitary napkins and teach them how to use and dispose them safely. Our NGO provides most affordable Sanitary napkins in country with this initiative we will also start Income generation program (IGP) for poor women. Once we train women this initiative will become self sustainable as we will train them in Menstrual hygiene, packaging and sales with this they will  get opportunity to earn for self and will also spread awareness.

Malnourishment: "Hidden Hunger" Initiative

As per WHO report,India has largest number of malnourished children in the world. 44% of children under the age of 5 are malnourished. 72% of infants and 52% of married women have anaemia. Research has conclusively shown that malnutrition during pregnancy causes the child to have increased risk of future diseases, physical retardation, and reduced cognitive abilities. With this initiative we will be  Fighting Malnourishment in Children and Pregnant Women by provide them Multivitamins, Iron supplements and  deworm children who are at risk of worm infection. We will also educate people in this area about nutritious diet and how with their existing food items they can prepare a nutritious meal. Along with this we will bring awareness by

  • Creating awareness among parents, especially mothers, and communities about the ill-effects of malnutrition
  • Sensitising adolescent girls and boys and pregnant women about balanced diet, human growth and development cycles
  • Build the capacity of the frontline workers, especially the Anganwadi workers, ASHA, ANM and volunteers.

Education : "S for School" Initiative

We believe that ensuring quality education for all is not only central to the achievement of all of the Global Goals but in particular the goal to end extreme poverty.Lack of education is a fundamental problem in India.School infrastructure is in a poor state and many school teachers are not properly qualified,40% of schools are without electricity and 60% school don't have proper classrooms, desks and toilets. Also not everyone can afford education and this pushes people into working poorly remunerated and insecure jobs, where they are exploited and trapped in a state of deprivation. A vicious cycle is created across generations.

We work for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children inflicted and affected with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children and slum children. We will conduct extra classes for bright students of govt schools, who cannot pay tuition fees. In this initiative for schools, we will appoint volunteers who can teach where qualified teachers are not there. We will also take street classes, after school classes for children who never been to any schools. Also we will help poor students with stationary, uniforms, bags and shoes so that lack of such basic things don't cost them education.

Your Contribution will be used to implement all above 3 initiative in carefully identified 100 villages and slums.
