NATIONAL FARMATHON 2020
Farmers have reached the brink of despair, help Estah to empower them by enabling Sustainable Livelihood opportunities

If you or the wage earner from your family stops working, there will be no food at home. but imagine if the farmer stops working, there will be no food for anyone in the world. The way engine is necessary for a vehicle to move, so is the agriculture for the country. The nation can’t function without its backbone- agriculture. No wonder Daniel Webster once said, “The farmers are the founders of civilization.”

With an 18 percent contribution to the GDP of India, agriculture constitutes 50% of the total workforce. India is the world’s largest producer of milk, rice, pulses & spices. It is also a major player in the export of rice, cotton, sugar, soybean etc. A farmer puts in a lot of effort to nurture the crop before it is harvested.

Our farmers who are toiling to feed our nation, but he himself is hungry, deprived, and distressed. Despite agriculture & farmers being the cornerstone of many flourishing civilizations & contributing towards a thriving economy, a farmer’s effort has never been appreciated nor celebrated. India witnesses the suicide of around 45 farmers each day. Today, farmers of the nation are disconsolate, and what they are experiencing is something that is beyond an agrarian crisis.

At Estah, we aim to empower farmers by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities & a food ecosystem. We involve them in various training & facilitation programs & equip them with best practices. Our Multi Crop Natural Farming has helped farmers reduce input cost, increase yield & make soil more fertile for next cultivation. We are also nurturing social entrepreneurs through C-SED Programs.

The word Estah essentially means

 “to counsel”,

“to advise”,

“to direct”.

Estah’s essence lies in the propagation of wisdom and sustainability through the spirit of counseling. Estah believes that if our Ambassadors promotes a cause of their belief, we can seek more attention on farmer. Hence, the Give Ambassador’s Network (GAN) event’s sole objective is to bring everyone under one platform for mutual gain. We together should address the issue of the shrinking farmer community & the increasing rate of farmer’s suicide. The exploitation & destitution has led the youth of the country to turn away from one of the noble service to humanity. It’s a wake-up call to come out in support of the farmers.

The Father of our Nation, Mahatama Gandhi’s had a vision of Gram Swaraj –“a self-efficient village.”. We at Estah are following his footsteps by implementing project Gram Swaraj 2.0 through counselling & nurturing the villages through our interventions. The primary goal of Gram Swaraj 2.0 is to work in the service of farmers & impart knowledge related to farming & lead villages to reap the benefits of economies of scale.

To fulfil the vision “Gram Swaraj 2.0” of empowering farmers requires funds, an essential component to fuel any initiative. Estah is organizing the National Farmathon on 23rd December, 2020 to celebrate the farmers & consumers and to raise funds for the farming community. You can support Estah in terms to finance, service, participation & volunteer.
