FIGHTING COVID-19 AGAIN
Our organization is raising fund for daily wage labourers in this time of corona pandemic.

We, Surjeet Singh and Soeleen Kaur, an ex-Teach for India fellow working in education sector since 6 years, with NGOs, govt schools, teachers, principals and ed-tech start-ups, would like to support in this pandemic via (CEHRO INDIA) . Before the COVID-19 pandemic, our aim was to provide access to education and a healthy environment for holistic development of children and imparting skills to children and ladies who are residents of Munirka village and nearby slum.



From the date of start of lockdown i.e. 26th March till December 2020, CEHRO INDIA has distributed more than 8 lakh meals (more than 80 ton) which include Aata, dal, rice, oil, salt, onion, potato etc. to daily wage labourers families in 25 slums of Delhi. Since they are the one who being affected the most due to this pandemic.


During normal days, they survive on the daily wages as they work as sanitation worker, rag pickers, domestic help and some of them beg for their living. These families do not have ration card either so as to receive ration from nearby fair price shop.

We will follow the same procedure as last year to distribute ration. When our team of 50 people visited different slums to survey for the most needy families and after identifying, they distributed tokens to these families by visiting their jhugis so that no crowd would gather to collect rations and social distancing can follow. In this distribution, we were majorly helped by Delhi Police so that ration could reach the needy and no law should be broken.



To reach such number we were supported by our partners Zomato Feeding India, QVT, A&M, Teach for India etc to name a few and individual donors.

In the wake of rising coronavirus cases, we NEED your support AGAIN. 

Since the entire country is in lockdown for 6 days we are not sure whether the condition will be under control or not. But we are definitely sure the condition for daily wage labourers will not be the same. They won’t be able to survive without your support.

Therefore, we want your support and contribution in providing help to these daily wage labourers.

In this pandemic, when we are taking all precautions to not catch the virus, there is a section in our society who are hoping hunger not to kill them.



In this urge of hope, @prateyek  NINEISMINE campaign supported the underprivileged with Covid relief in which Masoor dal (1 kg), Chana dal (1 kg), Sugar (1 kg), Oil (1 L), Red chilli powder (100 gm), Haldi (100 gm), Dhania (100 gm), Bathing soap  (2), Salt (1 kg), Sanitary pads (20), Atta (10 kg), Rice (5 kg), Tea (250 gm), Fena soap (2) were available.


They just did not support with the ration but also provide items so that underprivileged people can take care of their hygiene also, especially ladies in time of their menstruation.

With so much going on in this pandemic and where we are just hoping for this lockdown to lift up and regain our normal lives, these daily wage earners are hoping to survive just for another day.


The situation for them is not normal since the inception of Covid-19 cum lockdown.


Without work and no ration card, they will die because of hunger if not virus.
