I am Lavanya Gupta, 17 years old and in grade 11 at La Martiniere Girls’ college, Lucknow. I want to give laptops to a school in Gorakhpur known as Sri Ram Vanvasi Chattravas that would help 100 students to access digital education. For this, I’m raising funds and I need your help to make the future of these young minds brighter. I would be joined by the Inner Wheel international club, Gorakhpur chapter in this initiative.
I came to visit my grandparents in Gorakhpur where I realized that students of this school cannot study due to a lack of digital equipment. Not only that, the children depend on their family members’ mobile phones for learning and attending classes, making it an arduous exercise. Watching small screens to consume as much information as possible for long hours could be detrimental to students’ health. Therefore I decided to help them.
