What is wellness really?

Is it wrestling into those yoga pants at 6 AM? Is it the 5-mile run we squeeze out of our very busy schedule of Zoom calls and desk-side eating? Is it the Keto diet that transforms celebrities and sends netizens into a frenzy overnight? Or is it the meditation sabbatical that has to be taken in the Himalayas after we burn ourselves out 9-to-5?

It’s none of these. 

The fact is, it’s all of these blended together into the smoothie of wellness – it’s the color of sunshine and rainbows and tastes like contentment. 


Wellness takes all of these ingredients to create a beautiful balance of mind, body, and spirit that reflects in the way we do, think, feel, and believe. Achieving wellness is a glorious journey of discovering what makes you happy - mentally, physically, and spiritually – and using the opportunities to develop this balance.

This conquest of contentment is not easy, especially with the additional stressors of a pandemic, lockdowns, and social distancing.

To help you with this, we bring you ‘The Book of Wellness’ - an initiative by a 16-year-old United Nations Speaker and Mental Health Advocate, Aaryani Sahay, and Transformation Life Coach Umaa Arun.

 The ‘Book of Wellness’ is an ebook put together by a team of mental and physical health experts to help you refocus your energies during this pandemic into building resilience, improving your relationships with others, and transforming your lives. In this book, we outline some crucial strategies that can be applied to one’s own life to spot opportunities for improvement.  

The best part? The Book of Wellness contains a host of self-realization exercises that help you discover these opportunities, bringing you a sense of pride and achievement in making the most of them. 

This book is your Life Transformation Sherpa. It leads the way - holding your hand through every step - but you will make the journey yourself to a well-rounded, beautiful sense of being alive.

While we chase the uber goals of wellness, there are a few who struggle with the basics – like food, the first and fundamental step to wellness. 

All the proceeds from this campaign go to the MCKS Food for the Hungry Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that started in 2005. They reach out with food to the hungry and empower them with skills to move from despair to hope. 

In the midst of the on-going pandemic, social distancing is a luxury that India's informal workforce of 450 million cannot afford. With the government lockdown order and inadequate state provisions for food distribution, several families are sleeping hungry - in their homes, stranded at railway stations or state borders. Your contributions will go towards the foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Program.
