Section 377 has been read down and the dawning of a new era has started for the LGBTQ community in India.
The path of freedom has been long and winding and one more step towards an undivided future has been achieved. Pride has always been synonymous with the LGBTQ freedom struggle and will remain a shining beacon till the time the queer community comes into mainstream and discrimination becomes a distant dream.
January 18th, 2020 will be Nagpur Orange City’s 4th Pride March & this year we will focus on social responsibilities of the LGBTQ community towards the general population. The Pride will start at Samvidhan square from 3 pm till 6 pm. Please support our efforts of bringing unity in society, so that we may all live together in harmony, without any form of discrimination. Problems are plaguing this great world of ours and we all have to play a part in resolving these issues.
Climate change is the leading burning issue of today which has to be addressed seriously, otherwise, the earth will deteriorate at a rapid rate as we are seeing at present. Another burning problem is female infanticide.
We need to protect and nurture our future mothers of this great nation and bring equality in society and rid this evil once and for all. Swachch Bharat movement started by our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji should be worked at in a more systematic and focused manner. We need to instill the need for cleanliness in society and make civic sanitation a number one priority. So let us all come together on this joyous day and start a revolution, for the betterment of our wonderful world & nation! Jai Hind!
