   A R O G Y Y A   U T S A V

                                                              Accessible primary healthcare for all.

CONCEPT:  We plan to provide basic healthcare to the population segment which is detached from the public health infrastructure. We reach out to people of such remote locations where the government is not able to.

VISION: India is a country where vast difference exists in the general population in terms of geographic location and socioeconomic status. At the distant rural ends not only lack of health infrastructure is evident but even awareness is abysmally low. A simple study indicates that rural population suffers from typical infectious diseases such as gastrointestinal disorders and pulmonary ailments such as cold cough and influenza. However, we encounter a peculiar trend when we survey the extreme geographies such as remote villages of Uttarakhand. Here apart from the common infections we observed malnutrition, dental ailments epigastria disturbances like chronic vomiting tendencies and so on. We, therefore, resolved to embark on a year-long project containing a series of medical camps in the worst affected village clusters whereby we will not only set up diagnostic centers but also a free medicine distribution cum awareness center to impart holistic health solutions.

LOCATION:   Eight villages Osla, Pawani, Gangar, Liwari ,Taluka, Rala, Kasla Fitadi  near Sankri , Block Mori , Dist-  Uttarkashi , Uttarakhand.

Why This Location: There are no roads to reach these villages, villagers have to walk   9  to 25 km through the river bed or rocky mountain to access any medical support.

TIME PERIOD:    One Year

ACHIEVEMENT PLAN:  The entire cluster containing eight villages will be equally divided and targeted in two phases. Each phase will cover four villages and each phase will be repeated alternately. The entire process will be year long.

Implementation: We aim to provide a complete health monitoring by checking BP, Blood sugar, PFT, ECG, etc. Qualified medical professionals present will then prescribe medicines to be provided by us freely. We will also conduct counseling and provide knowledge to impart health awareness. We will also carry out extensive water testing on the drinking water sources to identify any contamination such as excessive minerals etc.

Each village consists of about one hundred households with five members per household on an average.

We aim to cover one village in a day.

All in all, we aim to provide easy accessibility to modern intelligent and scientific healthcare to the needy.
